Open communication and honesty and two of the most essential attributes of a healthy sex life. Still, fake their big Os from time to time. No, really. We’re not just saying that, studies have proven it! But, what other fibs are lovers murmuring between the sheets? We turned to the Whisper app for some answers and what we found may surprise you, to say the least. Here, we highlight 15 lies people have told their partner during sex.

Faking the moans. One user revealed that he fakes his moans in order to make his partner feel better about her performance. “I’m always quiet during sex,” he wrote, “But lately I’ve been faking moans just so that she’ll feel she’s doing better. It’ll kill her if I told her the truth… I just can’t do it.”

Ex was better. “My bf asked me if he was the best I have ever had [and] I told him yes,” one user confessed. “But I lied, my ex was and I still about him during sex.” Ouch.

”Harder." One woman revealed that she gives certain directions in bed simply because she thinks it turns her guy on. “Whenever I say ‘harder’ during sex, I don’t normally mean it,” she wrote, adding, “I just assume it turns guys on.”
It’s average. “I lie to my boyfriend when I tell he has the biggest penis I’ve ever seen,” one girl dished. “It’s average, but he gets so cute and excited.” Hey, an innocent white lie’s never hurt anyone!

Fantasies. One user said, “My ex boyfriend asked me if I thought about girls during sex. I lied and said I haven’t.” We think it’s about time you fulfill that fantasy, chica.

Not being able to get wet. “I told my boyfriend that not being able to get wet during sex was a side effect of medicine,” one user posted. “I lied.” Pro tip: Communication is key to a great sex life.
The wrong name. “So I told her I didn’t scream out someone else’s name during sex,” one user revealed. “I was just thinking of baby names in case you get pregnant.” LOL. Talk about stretching the truth.

Squirt or pee? “I accidentally peed a little on my bf during sex and I told him I squirted,” one woman confessed, adding, “ I feel bad about it.” Uh, we would hope so!

A bloody first. One user shared, “I once lied to a guy and told him he was my first because I started my period while we were having sex.” Girl, ain’t no shame in period sex — you should just have fessed up to the truth!
Faking the Os. “I have never an orgasm during sex,” one girl dished. “But I lied and said I did.” While faking climax is quite common, you’re only fooling yourself out of pleasure. Talk to your guy about how you can switch things up between the sheets, so that you can get the most of your bedroom sessions.

I love you. One man fessed up to dropping the L-bomb when he didn’t really mean. He wrote, “I told my girlfriend I loved her during sex last night, but it’s not how I really feel. She said it first and I don’t know what to do.”

Missing an ex. “I started crying while having sex with my boyfriend and I told him it was because I loved him so much,” one woman posted. “Really I was thinking about how much I miss my ex.” Sounds like you both need to part ways.
Baby. One woman wrote how a in-the-heat-of-the-moment decision might affect her life forever. “My boyfriend asked if I wanted a baby during sex,” she wrote. “In the heat of the moment I said yes, but really I don’t mean it. This could turn out badly.” Uh, ya think?

*The* number. “My boyfriend asked me how many people I’ve slept with while we were having sex,” one woman recounted. “I had to lie but I feel bad sounding like a s**t.” If he’s the right guys — and not a complete d*ck — he won’t care about how “high” your number is. Trust us.

Boring. One user said, “Whenever I fall asleep during sex I just tell my boyfriend I'm too high. In reality he’s just terrible in bed and I get bored.” Uh, yikes!
